I make things for radios, old Macs and new phones.

I write software for iPhone and for Macs that stopped getting updates in 2001. I spent seven years at Apple. My current app is Radioband, which tunes public shortwave receivers around the world. The rest is on GitHub.

Coming soon

Radioband

Public radio receivers on iPhone and iPad, with a live spectrum, optional captions and translation, and a private listening journal.

Classic Mac OS

Certainly — TLS 1.3 for Mac OS 9, so a 1999 Mac can open today's web.
Clawssic — a native Claude chat client for Mac OS 9, with AppleScript tool calling.
classic-control — lets Claude Code drive a Mac OS 9 machine over the network.
macdither and mfsjs — images to MacPaint, and a reader for 400K MFS disk images.

Elsewhere

shortport — a shortwave receiver for the Meta Portal, styled after an 80s communications set.
earthquake — recent earthquakes, with depth, seen from inside the Earth.
tinybookshelf — an Audiobookshelf client for low-end Linux hardware.
big-thoughts — a diary app for kids, in GTK.
